Title: JHP Training – Continuing to build and develop relationships with both National and Regional companies across the UK.

JHP Training has worked in partnership with more than a quarter of a million companies to implement vocational qualifications with proven business benefits and in addition to our local sales and delivery teams which specialise in dealing with SMEs, we have a National Account Team which is dedicated to working alongside the UK’s leading national and large regional employers.

Calling on Their Potential – RBS Insurance
RBS Insurance is JHP Training’s largest National Contract spanning multiple regions and divisions which includes Churchills Insurance, Directline, Green Flag, NIG, UKI Partnerships, Devitt and Finsure.

The RBS Insurance contract is funded by the National Employer Service (NES) and JHP Training works closely alongside RBS Insurance to ensure that new qualifications are rolled out efficiently, programs and training are evaluated and most importantly that the business can see the benefits that vocational training is bringing them.

JHP Training’s relationship with RBS Insurance is flourishing and developments are under way to offer a new and exciting financial qualification and a proposal to expand vocational training programs into the claims sector of the business, which will further strengthen JHP Training’s reputation as a market leader in offering vocational qualifications to the contact centre industry.

Apprenticeships – A great way to start a career with O2
JHP Training’s relationship with O2 began in 2007 and has gone from strength to strength with learners being placed into the program in Leeds, Slough, Preston Brooke and Bury.

The Apprentices complete an exciting program to prepare them for a career within O2 which includes an Apprenticeship in either Information Technology or Customer Service along with all six of the key skills (Communication, Application of Number, Information Technology, Working With Others, Improving Own Learning and Performance and Problem Solving) coupled with valuable life experiences such as outdoor adventure weeks, attendance at black-tie events and even a short course in basic Spanish to prepare them for an educational visit to O2’s overseas offices in Spain.

MBDA UK – Locking on to the value of Apprenticeships
JHP Training Watford worked closely with MBDA UK to make sure that their Apprenticeship programme (established prior to JHP Training’s involvement) became a success. All the hard work certainly paid off when both MBDA and a JHP Training learner placed within the company were recognised at the East of England Apprenticeship Awards 2008.

At the awards ceremony JHP Training learner and MBDA Commercial Apprentice, Janet Mansell, was the winner of the Advanced Apprentice of the Year category. Janet, who is currently in the second year of her Apprenticeship programme, is responsible for managing suppliers for MBDA which involves purchasing missile equipment up to the value of £2.5 million. Janet has benefited greatly from her Apprenticeship and in just two years her confidence has grown rapidly.

On their relationship with JHP Training, Gareth Humphreys MBE, from MBDA UK commented:
“MBDA have developed their programme to meet all the requirements of an excellent work-based programme which is supported by JHP Training. JHP Training and MBDA’s commitment to young people is second to none and places on the commercial Apprenticeship programme are much sought after by local pupils.”

MBDA UK narrowly missed out on winning the Large Employer of the Year category but was highly commended for their four year Apprenticeship programme, the aim of which is to develop the next generation of Commercial Managers and Executives. JHP Training were also recognised as a company that works closely with MBDA UK, a relationship which will be developed further over the coming months and years.

Looking to the future…
The National Accounts team are currently working with a large number of employers either looking to pilot a training programme, or to roll one out nationally across their business, these include; Royal and Sun Alliance, Homeserve, Thorntons, Aquascutum and PHS Group, to name but a few.
