Brand Addition boosts communications connectivity with Interactive Intelligence

Brand Addition, part of the international merchandising specialist 4imprint, is installing an all-in-one IP communications software suite from Interactive Intelligence. The new system, which replaces a life-expired conventional telephone system, will be immediately rolled out at its London and Manchester offices.

As a leading supplier of merchandising and branded items to business, Brand Addition can meet any order from a handful of mugs to a million hats. To meet its many daily challenges, it needs flexible and reliable communications with its customers, its field staff and its suppliers. The installation of the Customer Interaction Center (CIC) from Interactive Intelligence is a major step forward.

CIC is a software based solution which uses voice over IP using the SIP signalling protocol. This means that sophisticated functionality can be created using the feature rich Interaction Client soft phone and simple SIP phones, available from multiple manufacturers as well as Interactive Intelligence. The modular nature of the software allows a company to introduce functionality gradually to minimise the impact on staff training and productivity.

“Our sister company 4imprint in the USA went live with CIC, without a hitch a year ago, and their enthusiasm was extremely reassuring when we made the same choice,” said Jonathan Britton of Brand Addition. “This is more than just a telephone system, it gives us the opportunity to look at our business, how we are able to improve our processes, and how we can serve our clients better.

“Interactive Intelligence have been extremely responsive and are installing and implementing the system on a very tight timescale,” he added. “Even in its simplest form it provides us advanced communications for our staff in our offices, working from home and on the road. The ability to add functionality in stages is important to us as it means we are not giving our staff a technology overload: they can learn the benefits and still stay fully productive.”

The contract was signed in July 2009 with installation in August and a live date in early September. Because many of the products Brand Addition offers are sourced in China, the company has a buying office in Hong Kong. Adding this to the CIC network will be achieved before the end of the year.
