Getting to the VenueThe Birmingham NEC can be easily reached by car, train or bus, and Birmingham International Airport is nearby. BY TRAIN The NEC has main line connections to all major cities through Birmingham International. Trains leave from London Euston. Virgin Trains operate services from London to Birmingham up to 3 times an hour, and average journey time is an hour and a half. For travel information if you are not travelling from London contact National Rail Enquiries on +44 (0) 8457 48 49 50 National Express: +44 (0) 8450 13 01 30 (NB: When submitting your destination point on the National Express website, please make sure that you input Birmingham International Rail/Airport from the scroll down menu and NOT the National Exhibition Centre, as neither service nor timetables are provided for the NEC) If you are flying into London Gatwick You will need to get a train from Gatwick to London Victoria. Follow the signs to the London Underground, and get the Victoria Line to Euston. From Euston you will be able to get a train to Birmingham International, which will take approximately an hour and a half. If you are flying into London Heathrow You can get the Heathrow express to London Paddington. From London Paddington you can get the London Underground to Euston Square (5min walk to Euston Station) which is on the Hammersmith & City Line. Follow signs on the platform to the Underground. Once at Euston you can get a train to Birmingham International which will take approximately an hour and a half. Check with Transport For London before you travel for any engineering works which may affect your journey. Directions to the NEC from Birmingham International Airport From the first floor of Terminal 1 take the Air-Rail Link to Birmingham International Railway Station, then follow the clear directional signs to the NEC. It's approximately 5 mins walking to the main halls via a covered walkway. Don't forget your passport! |
